My Story
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
Kenyon is the middle child of 5 children. He looks up to his older siblings and the younger ones call Kenyon there super hero. He is a very unique child in every aspect. Kenyon's presence is of a size of strong fullback, courage of a lion and a heart that is loving and caring. Kenyon values his family and his sports is his everything.
I will never forget it was 8:30 pm on Thursday September 10th when we received the phone call from the doctor that we needed to pack and immediately head to the hospital. I asked the doctor what was going on and all I heard was Leukemia and nothing else. I hung up the phone and we were scattered through the house but Kenyon was in arms length distance from me. He sat down and he said whats wrong. I explained to him what I had heard. The tears began to come down from myself, him and his father. That lasted all of 30 minutes then our mindset changed. Kenyon stood up and said lets go and get this started because I am going to be ok. Our journey started from there. We prayed, gave it to God and just continue to move forward and take it one day at a time. Kenyon has a very good attitude and continues to laugh, joke and play everyday. I have yet to see him in bad spirits. We are now in the consolidation phase of his treatment and Kenyon is moving along well.
