ohnny is an awesome, funny, little 5 year old. He has a heart the size of the world and is the kindest most loving boy. He was so excited to start kindergarten this week. He has waited a long time to go to the "big kid school" with his sister and friends. The week prior to starting school, Johnny was having some jaw pain along with a head ache. Mom and Dad took him to the pediatrician and within 24 hours he had been diagnosed with stage 4 Burkitts Leukemia, a rare, highly aggressive form of leukemia but this is also very responsive to aggressive treatment. Johnny started Chemotherapy and will most likely be staying at CHOP for the next few weeks. We thank God he has an amazing pediatrician and is also in the top rated most amazing hospital for children. However, After this stay at CHOP, they are looking at 6 more months of treatments. Tiffany and John have been staying at the hospital in shifts in order to care for both Johnny at the hospital and their daughter Riley at home. Johnny has been taking baby steps in the right direction but has a long road ahead of him.
