My Story
Everett Thomas Cavan (aka, Rett) was born to this world at sunrise on April 27th, 2014; a little owl spirit in the form of a perfect baby boy. He was diagnosed at 6 months with a Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor on his liver. Although this was able to be removed after two cycles of chemo, the cancer spread to his lungs and was untreatable. Like most kids stricken with cancer, Everett had a compelling personality. People felt immense love just looking into his huge blue eyes. He left behind the legacy of Rett's Roost, a non-profit organization started with his remaining medical fund to help other families with cancer. Just once around the sun for this baby’s old soul; that’s all he needed to make his imprint on the world.
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
