Ryan was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at 11 weeks of age. He went into the hospital for an overnight surgery as he had a 'squeak' when he breathed. Instead, they discovered he had a tumor the size of an elongated golfball in his neck and he remained hospitalized for a month. During this time, he had a trach, multiple chemo treatments, surgeries and some blood transfusions. His first year was difficult, but 2 weeks shy of his first birthday Ryan had his last surgery. He is now a HEALTHY, happy boy who aspires to be an NHL player. Ryan will shave his head to help others win the fight against cancer.
