My Story

Ellie, who turned 5 in July, was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor in her right kidney in August. She had her right kidney removed at the beginning of September. She has endured 6 radiation treatments and 13 out of 15 chemo therapy treatments since the week of surgery back in September. The chemo and radiation have unfortunately taken her ability to walk, but even that can't take away the smile, spunk and joy in this little hero. The past 6 months couldn't have been accomplished without the constant prayers and support from her family and friends. We are happy to report that Ellie's latest scans have indicated No Evidence of Disease, and with a rigorous Physical and Occupational Therapy schedule ahead, she is expected to make a full and healthy recovery. Ellie's family wants to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the St. Baldrick's Foundation and bringing the much needed awareness to childhood cancer.
