Sam was just 3 weeks shy of his 4th birthday when he was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in May, 2002. Although his initial response was excellent, when he was in the hospital for his last round of chemo it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized to his central nervous system. One year and one day after his diagnosis, our Sammy got his wings. Team Sammy was formed this year in loving memory of our precious little boy, and to raise money for CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation. We can not think of a better way to honor his life than to do what we can to save another. "Love doesn't die, people do. So when all that is left of me is love, give me away." We miss you our darling boy, but we will keep sharing your love. Mommy, Daddy and Matt
