Kyler brought so much joy into our lives everyday. In his short life he touched so many people, even some he never met. His smile was contagious, his laugh was infectious and those cheeks I could just kiss for days. He was a happy little boy, always, before cancer and even throughout. He never complained, even with all that he had been through. Even recently when he lost his sight again not once did he say, "Mommy I cant see, what’s wrong, my eyes don’t work." He just rolled with, he adapted, he made the best of every and any situation. He was a warrior, he was our super trooper and he won his fight.
Kyler has taught me so much about life, love and hope. His unwavering strength has taught me to be stronger. His amazing fun loving spirit has taught me how to love more. Kyler loved to eat the air, he loved to lift his head upwards and feel the rain and snow on his face, and he loved digging in the dirt. The kid loved life, all the simple things. He has reminded me to enjoy those simple things, to take the time and love life even with its imperfections. Kyler has also gave me hope. Hope that one day all children will be cured. Hope that there will be joy again in our lives.
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
