My Story

Our son Brantley was diagnosed with cancer on 2-17-2014 at 5 months old This was the worst day of My husband's and I's lives. No parent should EVER have to hear that their child has cancer! The mass in his chest was discovered by our local hospital through a x-ray to see if he had bronchitis. We were then transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Kansas where he had scans, a bone marrow biopsy, a Hickman line put in and was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. We then proceeded to get a 2nd opinion at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City MO. They diagnosed him as stage 2. As of right now they are not expecting him to need chemo or further treatment unless his pain gets worse, the mass changes or grows so for now we are staying on top of his levels and monitoring the mass through scans and praying so hard our baby will not need further treatment! His prayer group on Facebook is Prayers for Brantley
