In 2000, Ariel was 4 years old and was diagnosed with All (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). She was in and out of the hospital while undergoing Chemotherapy for two years. She had her last treatment in December of 2002 and was in remission for Twenty months. In August of 2004 she started getting really tired and not feeling good so she was taken back to the doctor and they confirmed that her cancer had returned. She underwent extensive Chemotherapy, total body radiation and a bone marrow transplant in January 2005. She has been fighting ever since and we praise God every day that she is and has been cancer free for 12 years!!!! However, Ariel recently has been seen by her doctor for not feeling well. They have discovered a tumor on her right ovary. She will be having an upcoming surgery to remove the tumor and ovary. She is a blessing to our family and she will be getting her head shaved for the second time to support all of children who are fighting this disease.
