Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
Four year old Aleena of Buda, Texas loves to shop, sing, dance, antagonize her brother and support our Texas Longhorns!
Aleena was diagnosed with an Astrocytoma. (A brain cancer present in the cerebral and spinal hemispheres.) These types of tumors are usually slow growing. Unfortunately , they are aggressive and rapid in little Aleena’s case. Her tumors are affecting her hand and leg coordination, causing fatigue, headaches, nausea, vomiting, irritability, visual impairments, and the inability to gain appropriate weight. Despite her 2 previous surgeries to have the tumors removed, some had to be left behind, as they were attached to her brain stem. Aleena will face at least 1 year of chemotherapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy, as well as the possibilities of future surgeries.
Today we are asking that you open your hearts in supporting Aleena and her family while they fight for her life.
