My Story
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
Jayson was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma with MYCN amplification on April 11th, 2012. Jayson completed 8 rounds of chemotherapy, 14 rounds of radiation, several surgeries, stem cell transplant and one round of immunotherapy. Jayson reached remission in March of 2013 but unfortunately relapsed in June of 2013. Jayson finished one more round of chemotherapy but the cancer was extremely aggressive and spread to countless new areas during this final round. Jayson came home on hospice in June and we were fortunate enough to have 3 amazing months with him. In that time Jayson enjoyed his Make A Wish trip to Maui and many amazing days doing everything he loved with his family. Our entire lives were changed by this amazing little guy and bright blue eyes and all of his wisdom. We miss him every second of everyday and we continue to fight so that other families do not have suffer the pain of loosing a child to childhood cancer.
