My Story

March 2012 I started having unexplained knee pains. We went to several doctors but they all said ice it and come see me again in a week. Finally one doctor knew the pain I was describing wasn't normal, he sent me to a specialist. The X-Ray they took showed a tumor in my lower left femur. April 16, 2012 I was diagnosed with OsteoSarcoma, bone cancer. I started chemotherapy on April 20. July, 2012 I took a break from chemo for a limb salvage surgery which replaced my knee and the bottom half of my femur. I finished chemotherapy a week before Christmas. On December 26, 2012 my scans showed I was in remission, and I have remained cancer free ever since. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
