My Story
I am actually writing about myself. I was diagnosed while I was a sophomore in high school. Now I am 22 and a senior nursing student at the University of Delaware. I have learned many things as a cancer survivor. I now understand that each day should be lived to its fullest and you should cherish the friends and family that you have.
I have been cancer free for over 5 years and that stage of my life feels like a dream. The whole experience was so surreal but it taught me so much and it helped me grow as a person. I like to think of myself as an upbeat and optimistic person with a bright future and a wonderful group of family and friends who have supported me throughout the years!
