Griffin was a typical fifth grade boy when he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on April 1, 2010. He was very busy with many activities: student council, church youth group, field day helper, and was about to test for his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. All of that ended for 13 months.
He was fighting for his life!
Griffin kept a great sense of humor throughout this horrible ordeal. His faith in God grew through this trial and so did his desire to become an Oncology "dude nurse". He says that he would be able to tell his patients that he truly knows "how they feel" and can sympathize with them as they go through their treatments.
Griffin is now in remission and we hope and pray that this NED continues throughout his entire life!
