My Story

Our ANNIE is an AMAZING girl. She was 6 years old when she was diagnosed with ALL and has been in treatment since July 17th the day our family was told at St. Peters Oncology that she had Leukemia. She immediately began treatment which includes 6 to 8 months of intense Chemotherapy treatments followed by a 2 year maintenance phase. Right now ANNIEhas no evident Leukemic cells in her body! However to fully cure her we need to continue therapy for the next year and a half. ANNIE has displayed a great amount of COURAGE throughout this ordeal. ANNIE has lost all of her hair at this point she has gotten over a dozen spinal taps and numerous bone marrow samples as well as two blood transfusions. The efforts of St. Baldricks and other events are some of the good that come out of this experience. The other is that through past efforts of these types of fund raisers Leukemia patients now and of the future have tremendouse support as well as hope they will SURVIVE. I believe and have always believed that ANNIE will kick this disease and be completely normal child again...she will be ANNIE again. Thank you all so much for stepping up for her and all the kids out there with Cancer.
