Caroline was diagnosed on Halloween of 2011 at nine months old with Acute Lymophoblastic Leukemia. As a family we watched our baby girl endure what no baby should every have to face. It was not easy, and after a long two years of chemotherapy, she resumed her life as a typical 2 year old. She grew and thrived for four years. However, during the fall of 2016 we heard those heartbreaking words again, "your child has cancer." A lump on Caroline's neck turned out to be a rare malignant tumor in children called Muceoepidermoid Carcinoma of the Parotid Gland. It was a type of salivary gland cancer. She had the tumor removed and at this time hasn't required any further treatment. No child should be diagnosed with cancer, let alone twice. Thank you for supporting Caroline and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
