My Story
Torey was 6 months old when she was diagnosed with Retinoblastma in her right eye. Even though we live in Indiana, we traveled to Wills Eye Hospital and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for her treatment. Torey had 6 rounds of chemo, and numerous cryotherapy sessions, which led to her being able to keep her eye. She has vision in her eye, but because the cancer was never removed (that would mean losing her eye) she has a blind spot. Torey is now a very active 8 year old, who also happens to be a cancer survivor, and she doesn't let her decreased vision slow her down! She enjoys dancing, playing with her friends, and Karate. She also loves the 3rd grade, playing with her 3 siblings, and her 2 puppies.
