My Story

Katherine was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in September of 2011. She was 4 years old. Over the past year she has gone through intense chemotherapy and has reached remission status in her treatment. Katie has finally begun school and is resuming a semi normal childhood. Although she has 18 more months of treatment to go she's doing it with a very positive attitude. Katie is the sweetest little girl. Very wise beyond her years and strong. She carries an Elmo doll everywhere she goes to comfort her through her difficult times. Where ever Katie is, Elmo goes. Katie loves to dance, play dress up and just be a girlie girl. Katie has expressed that when she gets older she wants to be a Doctor so she can help other children that suffer from this terrible disease.
