My Story

Rivers loves playing with his toy tractors and running around with his dog "ghost.” He will be soon turn 4. In Sep 2010, Rivers was diagnosed with a nephroblastoma (Wilms’ tumor) stage IV that had metastasized to his lungs. He initially endured 6 months of a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Rivers relapsed shortly after his first course of treatment and then started a new course of treatment, which has included more chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Through all these treatments and the set backs along the way, he has continued to inspire those around him. Rivers is extremely fortunate to have a supportive family and community. Once you meet Rivers, you will never forget his smile and loving spirit.
