In 2010, at the age of 16, Hanna was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer. She had an astonishing total of 23 rounds of chemo and a hemipelvectomy (amputation of her right leg, hip, and half of her pelvis) before being declared cancer free eight months later. However, in March of 2020, she was diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a genetic mutation in her TP53 gene, which predisposes her to cancer, so she has to undergo an intensive cancer screening protocol every year.
Today, at 28-years-old, Hanna enjoys being outdoors. She especially likes boating and camping with her husband and spending time with Frankie, her three-legged German Shepherd, whom she adores. She also loves her job, working in marketing for a company that provides speech devices to those with communication disorders.
