Morgan is charming, fun loving, humorous and very special. He has been a Texas Special Olympics athlete for 10 years; competing in bowling, basketball, track and soccer and earning a Letterman Jacket. He participated in the National Special Olympics games in Lincoln, NE July 2010, winning a gold medal in the running long jump. He was also crowned Homecoming King of McNeil High School, Round Rock ISD, in 2010. Morgan is a great friend to many and is well loved by all who come to know him. He is famous for his great smile, hugs and high-fives. Morgan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on September 26, 2011, but his "joie de vivre" has not diminished.
Morgan loves music and can often be found singing and dancing, even in the hospital when he is sick. He also enjoys video games and board games; challenging and occasionally beating his brother, sister and parents at Kinect, Monopoly, Uno and Chickenfoot. He adores animals and has a sweet dog Annie that worships him. He especially enjoys the pet therapy at the hospital when he is there. Morgan’s outlook on having ALL is positive he knows he has to be strong and although he hates the treatment, he is willing to endure to beat the cancer. He has a wonderful support system of friends and family loving him and attempting to make the ride a little smoother.
