Tighe, was 4 months old when his pediatrician felt something unusual in his abdomen during a routine well-baby exam. The next 6 months were very challenging. He went through a battery of tests to determine his diagnosis of Neuroblastoma. His treatment was 6 rounds of chemo therapy and surgery to remove what they could of the tumor. The remaining mass in his lower spine has been monitored now for 2 1/2 years and has remained unchanged. We were told that it is statistically improbable that it will ever regrow. We will be forever grateful to his pediatrician, the team of oncologists and surgeons that treated him and all our friends and family that supported us, resulting in such a positive outcome.
