Lucy Schuler is a one of a kind kid! She is a silly girl whose contagious laugh can make anyone smile. Lucy loves to swim, color, read, and get made up with shiny lip gloss and other “fancy” dress up stuff. She really enjoys taking care of others and playing with her friends and siblings (Ross and Julia). She is always a big help with her little sister and looks forward to becoming a big sister again soon. In April 2010, just before her third birthday, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Her two-and-a-half year treatment battle is underway, and Lucy has proved to be true warrior who complains very little and keeps a heartwarming smile on even during those tough days. Lucy would love to play a part in making more people aware of childhood cancer and increasing funding for treatments, support services, and research.
