Chase will turn 3 on Feb 27th. He was diagnosed with Stage 2 Lymphoblastic Lymphoma on Jan 27th. Less than a month prior to that, we took him to the doctor for a few abnormally large lymph nodes on his neck that would not go away. After several blood tests, it was determined to do a biopsy to rule out cancer. Us, nor the doctors, thought we would be looking at cancer. When we got the news our world came crashing down. The thought of losing your only child is beyond words. After several tests, we found out he has Stage 2 Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.
Chase is currently undergoing an intense chemotherapy treatment schedule. The doctors feel positive that he should be in remission in 30-60 days. However, he will need chemo treatments for 3 years due to the type and aggressiveness of this cancer.
