My Story

Dalton was 11 years old when he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, which is a form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. We were extremely blessed that we caught Dalton's cancer early and he was only stage one at the time of his diagnosis. He underwent 3 rounds of chemo and by March of 2011 was in remission. We feel so blessed to have been as lucky as we were and hope that, through St. Baldrick's grants, research can be done so that ALL kids with cancer end up in remission! Dalton is now 12 years old and in the 6th grade. He is an alto-saxophone player and recently tried out for, and was accepted to, jazz band! In addition, he wrestled and ran cross-country for his school this year. He is a terrific student and aspires to one day study entomology and biology, and do research to find cures for diseases like cancer. He spends his free time hanging out with friends, playing video games, or learning new tricks with his Kendama. He also loves to play air soft wars with his best friend. Dalton and his sister, who is not quite 1.5 years older, get along great. He is a great kid, with a wonderful sense of humor.
