Reagan was diagnosed in July of 2009 with t-cell ALL. He had been healthy all of his young and wasn't sick at diagnosis either. His only symptom was hugely swollen glands in his neck. He started treatment within a few days and quickly became ill with side effects of chemo. He has had several surgeries 5 hospitalizations, only 3 blood transfusions, lost 16lbs, had 2 weeks of cranial radiation, had a g-tube placed and lost his hair at least 4 times (so far). He had a very rough first year, missing more than half of his kindergarten year.
Today, he looks and feels good and has been in remission since day 8 of treatment. He goes to school almost every day, now in first grade, currently has all of his hair and has gained back all of the weight he has lost plus 10lbs and has grown 3 inches. Reagan is a very animated kid who loves performing for all to see. He loves pirates and iCarly, Big Time Rush and Green Day. He also loves the beach and building sandcastles. He loves building with legos or with duct tape, string and cardboard. Such an imagination!
