My Story

On Dec 16th 2010 our son Kody was diagnosed with an DIPG, a rare type of brain tumor. After a week at Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn, Kody was able to come home in time to celebrate Christmas with us. He had been undergoing daily Chemotherapy as part of a Phase II trail at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, as well as Proton Radiation treatments at the Procure Center in Warrenville. After his diagnosis Kody stopped going to school and was doing as much homework on his own as he could. He really missed running and playing with his friend's and wanted to get back to school soon. He had a heart of gold. He loved to play with his friends and was a polite gentlemen. He had a smile that would light up your day.
