Nikki was diagnosed with Turner's Syndrome on Valentine's Day of this year. During her work up for Turner's syndrome she had an ultrasound of her kidneys and they found a mass. After a number of tests and appointments they discovered it was a softball sized tumor that needed to be removed. After 7 hours of intense surgery they removed it all. It was a ganglionueroblastoma. We are waiting to see if further treatment is necessary.
Nikki is the most amazing little girl! Nikki has the gift of making people smile. You can't help but love her. She is always smiling and happy. She is friendly to everyone. If she sees someone being left out she is the first one to go over and talk to them.
Nikki is a girly girl. She loves everything princess and barbie. She loves to play with her sisters and brother. She loves to go to preschool and making new friends. She was excited to have her tumor removed because she got to have a "sleepover" with her doctor friends! She is so strong and amazing and the impact she has on others is irreplaceable.
