Chantal was the sweetest child ever. She loved music, art, and most of all her family. She was only with us for 10 years, but she made an impact on every one who knew her. She was a wise old soul. When 9/11 happened she was only six years old. When most of the adults around her only saw pure evil, all she could say was" Mommy isn't it sad for those men that they were that way". She showed me time and time again what unconditional Love looked like. She found joy in every day, even some of the hardest. Shortly before she passed away she asked me if I could would I trade her in for healthy little girl. I told her I wouldn't give up one day with her. No child should ever have to ask that question. There are no words that can explain how hard it is to loose a child. But even in the hardest times I realize how lucky I was to have had her in my life at all.
