My Story

Christian is a kind, smart and funny almost 15 year old boy who was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Ependymoma Grade III brain tumor in April of 2010. He remains a patient at St. Jude Children's hospital for yearly scans and follow up care, but has been declared to have No Evidence of Disease (NED) or cancer free since 2011!    As part of his initial treatments, Christian had emergency surgery to remove the tumor, completed four rounds of high-dose chemo at St. Jude's and Proton Beam Radiation Therapy in Jacksonville, FL, along with maintenance chemo at home in Long Island, NY.  Due to the location and complexity of Christian's tumor, he has significant delays in all areas, but with everything he has been through in the past almost 13 years, he is a super trooper and is doing very well. He loves to play with his Nintendo Switch and read about Pokemon.   He has a very sweet and kind personality who loves to be around others.
