My Story
Raelyn is a very beautiful, funny, and loving child. She was diagnoised with Stage 4 Wilms Tumor on Feb. 10, 2010. The tumor, the size of a grapefruit, was removed along with her left kidney. She had six days of Radiation and 6 months of Chemo Therapy. Raelyn was stronger than her dad and I through out this whole process. She would tell me to be strong and not to cry and that everything would be ok. Her faith in God at such a young age is amazing.
Raelyn loves to sing, dance, and dress up. This year she was able to be a cheerleader for one of the basketball teams on Fort Stewart. She loved it. She will be running track this year also. She missed half the school year last year and had to be home schooled. So when she was told that she could start school this year, she was so excited. Raelyn also attended Camp Sunshine this past summer. She had the best time. She wants to go every year. When it comes to dislikes, the only thing that comes to mind is certain types of food like lasagna. Raelyn is a wonderful child and I am glad God picked me to be her mom.
-update-
Raelyn is cancer free. NOV. 2016 made 4 years. She will be a freshman in high school this upcoming school year. We are currently stationed in Hawaii for the Army. She is loving life and appreciate everything the medical staff and different organizations like St. Baldrick's has done for us to help us get thru those difficult times.
