My Story
As a baby, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I had to have a
surgery, chemotherapy, tons of MRIs, and lots of medicines. There
were a lot of things my family had to do and deal with. When I was 2,
I finally finished treatment and my family thought our hardest times
were over - but we were wrong! At 3, my tumor started to grow again
and we were put back in treatment for two more years - and then we
went on to radiation. It was rough going through everything once, and
even rougher twice - but some things made t hose hard times easier --
the doctors support, family and friends who were so kind to me, and
organizations who sent special gifts and did other nice things to make
life easier for my family. Thank G-D, I'm 9 years old and I'm doing
great - I still have lots of MRIs and doctors appointments to make
sure things are ok and other medicines that I need to get - but I feel
great and my tumor is finally gone! I hope all other kids who have to
go through these kinds of things are as lucky as I've been!
