Sydney is a very cheerful and energetic 18 year old. She was diagnosed at the age of two with a brain tumor (Ependymoma). The tumor was successfully removed and she received daily radiation treatments for 7 weeks. Unfortunately, the tumor came back a year and a half later. Surgery again was successful and she will be 14 years cancer free April 26th 2017!
Sydney is now in 12th grade at and is heading to Penn State next year to become a child life specialist. Her family is dedicated to finding a cure for all childhood cancers and doing everything we can to help support pediatric cancer research.
