My name is Claire and I am 11 years old. I live with my dad, my mom and my older brother Blaine in Columbia, Missouri. On August 25, 2010, at the age of 7, I was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). On November 5, 2012, just one day after my 10th birthday I completed my cancer treatment. I am in remission!
My parents tell me I am an amazing, brave young lady. They think I am very bright and so mature for an eleven year old! I try to be sweet and kind to everyone I meet. I am grateful for my family and friends who love me and take care of me. I am grateful for everyone who's prayed for me...special people I know and caring people I've never even met! I am grateful for my doctors and nurses and the child life specialists at my hospital who are helping me beat this disease.
I love to sing and dance and am so happy that I'm feeling well enough to take ballet and jazz classes again. If you know me at all you know I LOVE animals - especially my little dog Oreo.
I have been a part of the Columbia, Missouri, St. Baldrick's Fundraising family since it's first event in 2011, and am truly grateful for each and every shavee and volunteer!
I feel very loved and very blessed to be continually lifted up by many prayers and good wishes. Keep those prayers coming 'cause they're being heard AND answered!
Thank you for reading my story!
