My Story
On October 20, 2006 Trevor was diagnosed with Germinoma (which is a type of brain cancer) and also Diabetes Insipidus( this is not the sugar diabetes; this affects the Pineal Gland). He had four tumors in the brain which consisted of the Pineal Gland with Metastatic spread to Conus and Lumbar nerve roots. Trevor was treated at A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. which he had four months of Chemotherapy and one month Craniospinal Radiation.
Trevor is currently in what they call remission (recovery) stage and has several follow up appointments at A.I. Dupont. He is doing extremely well with the progress even do he currently has to take growth hormone shots daily to help him grow and a nasal spray for the Diabetes Insipidus two times daily. He has pretty much gone back to almost a normal life again.
