My Story

Kaylee was born on 12/10/09, 9 pounds 14 oz. She had a very normal uneventful first 11 months. Life was pretty simple. She loves Elmo and the Wiggles. Mommy took off on 12/10/10, to spend the day with the birthday girl. At Kaylee's 1 year check up Dr. Miller felt something in Kaylee's belly, that's when our world was turned upside down. Kaylee was schedule that day for an ultrasound at CHOP. It was there I was told my beautiful little girl had a 9 cm growth on her left kidney. Which doctors believed was cancer. I was dumbfounded. The day consist of a ultrasound, ct scan and spending the night at the hospital. The surgery to remove the kidney and tumor was set for 12/14/10, 4 days after the earth shattering news. She did awesome. Kaylee has done 2 of her 13 chemo treatments. She amazes me each day!

UPDATE: 5/1/19 Kaylee is now an 8 year survivor and doing amazing!
