Penelope is eight years old and quite the firecracker! She loves to sing, dance and make people laugh. She also loves art of all types, especially painting. Her favorite colors are pink, purple and light blue...the quintessential girl.
When she was 3 1/2, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The first six months of her treatment were quite rocky, consisting of many a night in the hospital and many blood transfusions. These days, Penelope is back to preschool with her friends and doing great! She is in the maintenance phase of her treatment and still has a little over a year of chemotherapy to go. She has a huge heart of gold and she's a hero to all her family and friends.
