Wade Ballew III, known to family and friends as Baby Wade, was diagnosed on April 16,2010 at 7 months old with a rare brain tumor, PNET/Pineoblastoma. He had it completly removed and did 4 rounds of chemo at St Jude children's Hospital. We were getting ready to start Proton therapy, at his last scans on September 3, 2010, the cancer had spread throughout his brain and spine and we were told he had maybe a month to live, we took him home that day and he passed away exactly one month later on October 2, 2010 at 13 months old.
Wade was the sweetest, most beautiful child I have ever seen. He always had a smile on his face and he was a complete momma's boy. He had the most wonderful personality and he was always winning the hearts of ladies everywhere he went, there was just something extra special about him. He loved to play with his toys and he loved pulling his sister's hair. He loved waffles, cookies and animals. We love and miss our son more than words can describe, it's like a nightmare we relive daily. We have got to come together as a country to raise money to find a cure, so no more children will have to die.
