Keegan Michael Morrison, our beautiful baby boy, was born on September 24, 2004. Keegan was courageous, funny, intelligent, and affectionate: truly the light of our lives! He was a vibrant, expressive baby who loved listening to music, sucking his thumb, reading books, going for walks, and snuggling with his favorite people.
At four months old, Keegan was diagnosed with an Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor in his brain. We enrolled him in a clinical trial and he underwent intensive chemotherapy to try and beat the cancer. Unfortunately the treatments were not successful and our precious Keegan became an angel just 3 1/2 months after his diagnosis.
Even though Keegan was only with us for seven and a half months, knowing him brought a joyful, love-filled new dimension to our lives. We take comfort in knowing that our sweet boy is in a perfect place where there are no tumors, needles, nasty-tasting medicines, or headaches. Our hope is to help create such a cancer-free world here on earth so that no other child or parent will ever have to face what we have.
