I am an avid graphic designer as well as a cancer survivor of ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia). Design is my passion and I love living day to day creating packages, logos, print, websites, and brands. As a survivor I strive to live through my art and sustain a healthy life. Milton Glaser once said "how you live changes your brain." I believe that when you live to overcome cancer, it changes your thinking and motivates you to live on. Being determined, passionate, and goal-oriented gets me through the difficult moments of late effects and pain.
Stand Up 2 Cancer's theme song says it all. When your body wants to give up and you have no lingering strength to get to the next step, your heart will tear down those thoughts and push you till the finish line. Networking with like-minded individuals also gives me hope and better insight in dealing with late effects. St. Baldrick's is a network of survivors, advocates, supporters, physicians, and researchers who are behind childhood cancer research. I have assurance that there are supporters who understand what cancer survivors experience throughout their lives. Thank God for St. Baldrick's Foundation!
