My Story

My son is now 25 and has been cancer free for more then 10 years and living a normal young man's life. When he was 13 he was diagnosed with stage III Hodgkin's Lymphoma for which he under went 4 rounds of chemo and 14 days of radiation treatments. He lost ALL of his hair but NOT his fighting spirit. I was honored and proud to shave my head for St. Baldrick's in 2010 and 2014 and appear live on SU2C in 2010. In 2012 my husband Alan, who is also a cancer survivor shaved his head in Los Angeles to honor our son. Jared graduated from CSULB Magna Cum Laude in May and will be graduating with his Masters in May 2019.  We are thrilled that our son will be in remission 11 years on July 8th 2016 and dream of a happy and healthy future for him. Please donate in honor of Jared and all the other kids who continue to battle cancer, have lost their young lives to cancer or will have to battle the beast in the future.
