My Story

Emery was diagnosed at age 6 weeks with neuroblastoma and was transferred from her home in Amarillo to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. While in Houston, she has worked hard on her developmental skills and now holds her head up very well, turns over, likes to be sitting up so she can look around, babbles, smiles and loves to interact with everyone she sees. She likes to play with toys, especially those that make sounds or music, likes being outside in the sunshine, being taken for walks in her stroller, and being held by Mommy and Daddy. She is a sweet, happy girl who lights up the room with her smile. She is now 5 months old, has had four rounds of chemotherapy, and recently underwent surgery to remove the rest of her tumor. She is doing great and has finally been able to go home to Amarillo with her parents. She'll be going to Occupational Therapy and having regular checkups for awhile but is doing very well. Thanks to all who have donated in her name.
