Cole is an avid reader who brings a book with him EVERYWHERE. Like most kids he's also addicted to video games...Legends of Zelda especially. Cole loves sports with the Anaheim Angels and Ducks being his two favorite teams. He was actually at the hospital when the Ducks came by with the Stanley Cup, getting his photo taken with the team and trophy.
Cole was diagnosed with ALL when he was five and went through three years of treatment (consisting of assorted cocktails of chemo, steroids, antibiotics, etc). They will consider him "cured" if he remains in remission for five years AFTER the end of treatment. (Three years down, two to go.) Cole's vocabulary and reading abilities are now off the chart (in a good way). Cole is a happy, affectionate boy who doesn't really even remember too much about his ordeal. At least he doesn't talk about it much. Cole use to worry/stress, but as his "cured" date approaches, he feels better and worries less.
Cole was treated at CHOC......Children's Hospital of Orange County in Orange, CA. Top of the line doctors and nurses who treated Cole and his family incredibly!
