Joey is a very quiet but loving and caring teenager. Joey loves sports of all kinds, but especially baseball. Although his diagnosis took his physical ability away from the sport, it never took away the love of the sport. Joey's favorite team is the White Sox. He could watch baseball all day if you let him.
Joey is also a very determined young man. He has many friends who have stuck by him through thick and thin. Even though he hit many speedbumps throughout his treatment regimen, he persevered through it all. He has been accepted into Northern Illinois University where he will undertake studies in sports management. We are so proud of all his accomplishments.
