Kortney was diagnosed with cancer in Dec. of 2007. She had a tumor in her spinal cord, and with surgery around 95% of the tumor was removed and with a year of chemo and radiation treatment the tumor is completely gone now. The tumor did do damage to the nerves to her legs, bladder, and bowels. Kortney has been through so much over the past two and 1/2 years.
Despite it all she has been in remission for a year now. Everything started when she was a young 12 year old and on March 23 she will be turning 15. With any luck she may be able to get her learners permit. She enjoys scrapbooking, arts and crafts, and especially baking. She want to grow up to be pastry baker/cake decorator. Kortney has two full brothers and 4 step brothers. She is the only girl on both her father's side and her mother's. She has a one year old Pomeranian named Payton, whom she loves her very much.
