While most people were preparing for there Thanksgiving dinners, 11/23/2009, our family was in the ER learning that our four year old son Jack had Leukemia. This came as a total shock to us. Here we went from thinking our son had a pinched nerve, to finding out he has cancer.
Jack is currently in the fight of his life. This disease may be affecting him physically, but mentally he has not let it get him down. His outgoing attitude and zest for life is what is going to help him win this fight. He is truly a superhero in our eyes, and handles this disease with fight and determination. He will be in treatment for the next 3+ years.
We know we have a long road ahead of us, but we are taking it one day at a time.
