My Story

Amy had just turned 18 and was about to begin her senior year in High School when she first became ill with a sore throat. Within 3 weeks, after watching her lose the light in her eyes, curls in her hair, bounce in her step, and ability to walk without extreme fatigue, we were told she had Acute Myelogenous Leukemia or AML. Amy spent all of her High School senior year in treatment and thrilled us when she addressed her class and attendees at graduation. Amy went on to graduate from Marquette University in Milwaukee and married Edward Speck-Kern in October, 2010. Because of the dedication of all of the researchers, Doctors, Nurses and the oncology medical team members, Amy now lives and works as a Dressage Trainer in Wellington, FL.. Please help them continue their important work by donating to St. Baldrick's!!
