Jeanne-Avery Elizabeth Chauvin is our beautiful 6 year old daughter, the oldest of three children. She has a 5 year old brother, Jack and an 8 month old brother, James. She was a healthy six year old doing normal things when she was diagnosed at the end of August 2009 with Osteosarcoma in her right femur. Jeanne-Avery has already had 4 rounds of chemotherapy and had her limb salvage surgery on November 12, 2009. Her leg has completely healed and she will begin physical therapy as soon as she receives her KAFO brace. Her knee is very unstable and needs the brace to help her walk.
She loves gymnastics, dancing, painting and drawing, playing with her brothers and cousins, going to school to be with her friends, getting mail and packages, and loves to put on plays for her family and pretends to be a teacher and mail lady often. A few things she doesn't like: accessing her port, needles, taking medicine nausea and vomiting and being in the hospital
