My Story
Sara was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at age 8 while competing in gymnastics. She had two years of intensive treatments including chemo, radiation, surgeries & stem cell transplant. She stayed at the Ronald McDonald House while the family moved to be closer to the hospital in Seattle. After completing nearly two years of treatment she was in remission and took a state gymnastics championship. Now 13, her cancer recurred in November '08 and she's receiving a study drug at OHSU to reduce the size of tumors. Her positive outlook and fighting spirit remain strong. Sara's complete story and support information are at turleyfamily.org/sara.
