Cameren was an amazing human being, who taught so many the meaning of life in his short ten years. An old soul, he loved to engage with people. From the earliest age, when you spoke with him, he looked intently in your eyes. He was interested in you, and the world around him. Blessed with a sharp mind and inquisitive spirit, time with him was always new. You learned with him even in his darkest hours.
Loved by so many, it was incredibly difficult to witness his struggle against his illness. And yet, I have never seen anyone, nor will I ever, bear such an experience with the amount of dignity, courage and compassion infinitesimally beyond his years. Keeping your heart open and loving fully after the loss of him is a testament to not only the power of your grief, but to the strength of the love of life and people which he imparted without measure.
Cameren loved his family, friends, his pets, and the natural world around him. He was a gifted student who excelled in sports and was beginning to play the guitar. He loved WWII, sci-fi, and art of all kinds and mediums. He was very competitive and drove his own train. He was also very helpful when others needed a hand up or a hug. If you were stranded on an island, and you had the gift of knowing Cameren, you would want it to be him to have those long talks with in the middle of the ocean. He was that pure. He was that good.
